Highway repair nearing completion

Road work near South Branch still ongoing.

SOUTH BRANCH – The Department of Transportation and Works has advised that the construction in South Branch is expected to be completed by the end of October. Heavy rains during the first week of February 2018 caused a sinkhole to appear and work to repair it has lasted over two years.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the department has acknowledged that paint and other debris left behind in Isle aux Morts after last summer’s road markings were painted will be removed and disposed of properly.
